Summer Solstice Fair

The Castle Pines Arts & Cultural Foundation, along with the Castle Pines Chamber of Commerce and the City of Castle Pines invite you to the Summer Solstice Fair on Saturday, June 21 from 10:30 am - 2:00 pm at Elk Ridge Park.  Activities will include a family friendly outdoor boot camp and yoga session; storytelling by a Spellbinder; the Castle Rock Senior Center will create balloon animals and sell handcrafted items;  a presentation by the Wildlife Experience will include a solar telescope to view the sun, and a brief presentation by artist Mary Williams about her solstice-related sculptures.  Boy Scout Troop 637 will be cooking hot dogs.  For more information, go to www.castlepinesarts.org.

Missoula Children’s Theatre production of The Wizard of Oz

 

The Wizard of Oz is coming to Castle Pines July 14 - 19, 2014.  The Missoula Children’s Theatre is looking for 50-60 local kids to star in their production of this classic tale.  Any kid entering 1st-12th grade can be a part of the magic!  The popular MCT will be in Castle Pines for a week-long residency culminating in an original, full-scale musical production.   Experience and prepared materials are NOT required for the audition on July 14 from 12:30 – 2:30 PM.  Please arrive promptly and plan to stay for the full 2 hours. Evening Under the Stars

Castle Pines Arts & Cultural foundation proudly presents “An Evening Under the Stars” for Castle Pines residents and hosted by Cherokee Castle & Ranch.  Join your neighbors Friday night, August 29 at 6:30 for dinner and a performance in the Veranda Tent by “The 17th Avenue Allstars”, a regionally renowned a cappella group that performs Rock, Doo Wop, Jazz and Contemporary hits.

All-inclusive reservations of $75 per person feature: a Cherokee Castle Mini-Tour, Supper Buffet, Performance, and a Dessert and Coffee Reception with the musicians.   Cash bar will be available.
